1. Who you are contracting with

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Christopher Yvars ("Summer Tennis League", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of summertennisleague.com and the Summer Tennis League program (the "Service"). By registering for a league, paying the registration fee, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility & accuracy of information

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, if registering as a junior). You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it current. You are responsible for any activity under your account.

3. The Service

The Service organizes recreational tennis leagues, including division placement, schedules, standings, and match reporting. Match scheduling is coordinated between players. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or to harass other players;
  • infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any other person;
  • upload malicious code, attempt to probe or scrape the Service, or interfere with its security;
  • misrepresent your identity, NTRP rating, or match results.

5. Payment, billing, and Merchant of Record

League registration is a one-time fee of $30 USD per league. Payment, billing, tax collection, invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks are handled by our reseller, Paddle.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding, logos, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by Christopher Yvars and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service.

7. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • you materially breach these Terms;
  • your registration payment is reversed, charged back, or otherwise unpaid;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud, security risk, or unsportsmanlike conduct;
  • you repeatedly or seriously violate league rules or our acceptable use policy.

8. Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Tennis is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Christopher Yvars resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
